Italian Alps (Dec 2001)
Over the italian Alps, flying from Milan to London, in a bright morning with an extraordinarily clear sky. Not much snow, even if it was the beginning of December. Tomorrow we will fly south, from Boston to Dallas, and then Caracas in Venezuela. Hope to post some photos from there.

We just arrived in Caracas. Tomorrow very early we will leave for Los Roques, which is an archipelago off the Venezuelan coast, where we will stay for the weekend. No internet there, most probably, so I will probably disappear until Monday night... See you all soon.

Max, post a los roques photo!!! Forget answering the 9 million emails (and no, it is not possible to take a vacation here, well sometimes it is, but not if a brand new totally gorgeous telescope has gone up and you are one of the few that know how to play with it)...so we’ll be in the press room on the 10th together, that’s wonderful...see you soon...did you notice that O’Keefe is resigning? I’m worried about the replacement, last rumor I heard was one of the top guys from the missile defense project...uh oh....ciao...
