Plum Island (Sept 21, 2003)

Jennifer at sunset at Plum Island, a beach on the Boston north shore. She is looking at “Itza”, her Canon GL2 videocamera. This is a very characteristic image of Jennifer. Sometimes she uses Itza as a video diary, and makes movies that are like intense and introspective long monologues. Other times she just records a sea snail crossing the frame, or a sand sculpture eroded by the sea, or surprises us by finding shapes and colors that we would not otherwise see.

This soft light on her face makes her appear so gentle as does the soft focus. Great composition and feel expressing her affair with the camera.
