Gias Funtena! “Foto espectacular en todos los sentidos, como foto, como paisaje y como simbolo, ademas del Fotgrafo que hace sentir el espacio- ambiente dentro de uno” llega al alma, en una nostalgia, como nuestros pesebres Andinos! La erosion de la vieja montaņa que por su edad proteje el paisaje, “Bellisima”
This photograph, along with your others, is absolutely stunning. Sheesh, I have to get out of the city!
hi, i used to live just below that dwelling in gias from 90- 93.
i lived on via glera street across form a little store. e- mail me if you get this reply. thanx
Thanks to all for the nice comments. When I was taking this picture my hopes where not very high: the sun was too strong in the valley and the mountains behind were too dark. I did a few tries with different exposures, and this is the best. Happy that you like it.
Very pastoral. Is this accessible only by foot? Great scenery.
Yes, the place is only accessible by foot (or by mounbtain skies in winter). There is an old military road passing nearby, but it is intended for horses and mules, it is too narrow for cars.
beautiful indeed, very rural and pastoral like someone already mentioned

Gias Funtena (Jul 1, 2004) This gias is actually still being used to keep the fresh cheese, while the shepard stays in the more modern construction next to it. This gias is used in spring, before the shephard moves his herds on higher pastures.
