this is really lovely. can’t tell the sense of scale which is nice.
Yeah, the scale is huge even if it does not look like it (the beauty of the fractal nature). I took the shot flying at a cruise altitude of 3,000ft with a 50mm lens (no zoom)!
It looked like a giant whale! Weird shape, could be a cloud too.
I spent four winters in northern Wisconsin on Lake Michigan when I was in the Coast Guard. The winters were truly miserable, but there is a stark beauty to that frozen landscape. This is a striking shot.
