Llano del Hato, Venezuela (Dec 22, 2004)

I am on the move again. I am writing from an hotel in Miami, where I am spending the night before flying tomorrow morning to Caracas, Venezuela. I will be spending the next week in Mérida, on the Andes, at a meeting organized by the Centro de Investigaciones de Astronomia (CIDA) about disks around young stars.

The photo shows some of the telescopes of CIDA, that I shot during a previous trip I made in December 2004.

Another nice black and white shot. The composition of the spherical shapes is great and the foreground gives it an otherworldly feel.

I like how that second observatory seems to be rising, like the other moon in the sky. Very nice.
