Trieste, Italy (October 28, 2007)

Since last week, we have been traveling in Italy. I had a conference in Perugia, and then we arrived yesterday in Trieste. We both gave a seminar here (I did it in my old grad school, SISSA), and Mayli gave her at the nearby ICTP (the UN funded International Center for Theoretical Physics) today, and tomorrow we will leave to go to southern Piedmont to spend a week with my family.

Of course we had been absurdly busy, given that I had to work as much as I could to prepare new proposals due on November 16, prepare this trip, and check the thesis of my graduate student that will get his Ph.D. by the end of the November... So I didn’t post at all (but I am happily shooting away during this trip). The photo is the central piazza in Trieste. This city is so beautiful, that I cannot believe I am not living here anymore...
