Colle Sampeyre (Jun 29, 2004)
The Sampeyre pass (2284m altitude = 7,500ft) connects the Maira and Varaita valleys. A steep road starts from the small village of Elva (now a turistic place, once had been the poorest italian town) and ends in Sampeyre in Val Varaita. As usual at dawn in summer, low clouds were engulfing the place.
