This reminds me of techno-realist photography from the first half of the last century like Lewis Hine’s factory photos or Margaret Bourke-White’s photos of the Tractor Factory and Fort Peck Dam. Very interesting shot and info.
i love the echoed diagonals, and the composition, and the square/round juxtaposition...
lucky travelling you!
wow ... there is something almost ancient looking about this incredible technology, such a beautiful feel to it. : )
You’ve got such a cool job! I don’t get to do very much on-the-job travelling anymore. Of course, I had 20 years of it while I was in the Navy.
I agree with daisies, this is an incredible shot. Holiday wishes.
I love this shot. I really enjoy Mt. Hopkins too. Funny thing. I live about 40 miles east of there. We’ve spent much time hiking in the Santa Ritas and exploring around Tubac (not to mention Nogales).
The last few nights have been pretty clear. It has also been 70-75 every day this week, though nights on the mountain have been in the ‘40’s. Great image!
I really like the balance in this shot, and your tonal treatment is fantastic. Love your shots of telescopes. Do you ever take photos through them?
