Rain

Yesterday Mayli’s sister sent us a worried email because her mother saw on tv (in Venezuela) that there had been flooding in Massachusetts. I absolutely didn’t know what she was talking about (yea, there has been some rain, but not flooding where I live) so I was puzzled. Only later I actually read the news about the floods in New Hampshire, New Jersey, etc... Apparently my relatives in Venezuela are more informed on what is happening where I live than me.

Anyway... my excuse for not being up to date, and being behind in posting photos and visiting other blogs is that next week I will go to Baltimore for a conference (I am giving a talk at the Space Telescope Science Institute), so I was very busy preparing my presentation. Also, I spent the full Saturday at a pond near Cape Cod for my open water practice for the SCUBA certification (and tomorrow I will do the two final dives), so I didn’t have much free time in my hands. This means that I am posting again an old photo (despite the fact that I have tons of new photos on my hard drive waiting to be processed) shot at Crane beach in a rainy day. Like today, where after all I was more confortable underwater (with a 60F water) than outside in the rain with the cold wind...
