Stunning! Appropriate title!
Learning to dive sounds like so much fun. Will you take your camera underwater with you?
Scuba diving is quite a complicated exercise... so for the moment I doubt I can concentrate in taking photos while paying attention at all the rest at the same time. But definitely it is something that I would like to do. Another problem of course is money: an enclosure for my D100 costs more than the camera itself, so for the moment is definitely outside my budget. Enclosures for compact digital cameras are more affordable (still hundreds of dollars, though), so maybe at some point I will start from there... will see...
This is an amazingly beautiful image. I’ve always wanted to learn to scuba dive, but that’s just another hobby to spend money on. Sometimes, you just have to draw the line and say -- I’ve got quite enough, thank you!
I’ll be sure to send my wife to that link -- she was planetarium director at the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center before Katrina destroyed her planeterium, and she’s fascinated by all things space related.
When I see images like this, I want to start planning my next vacation. Beautiful chrystal clear waters, and warm sunny days. Hope this week bodes better for you.
Wonderful colors. I tried scuba a few years ago in Nice and swore I would get certified and take it up, but so far I haven’t managed it. Maybe this reminder will spur me to action.
This is a smashing photo - the colors are incredible. You were in a plane when you took this? Enjoy your vacation to Hawaii. I think we’ll be going in February - but I so look forward to your photos to hold me over.
Yes, I was on a small plane, which is the only way to get to the islands (locals also uses boats, but it is a long and rough ride from the coast). The window was quite dirty but I managed to get rid of most of the gunk with photoshop, except for a residual gradient still visible in the photo (which I liked, though, so I left it).
a brief vacation? I’ve seen so many pictures from Venezuela I simply assumed you lived there for a few months
Gorgeous picture by the way.
I wish! Unfortunately we stayed on these islands only for three days (the rest of the time was spent doing bureaucracy for my wife US visa). But yes, when I am there I am quite “trigger-happy”. So many inspiring things to photograph!
So beautiful! The colors are amazing. Must have been a very nice vacation!
Se ve que es un lugar hermoso, imagino fueron unas buenas vacaciones
Man, I hate that when you have to go to the meetings in Hawaii.
I love this shot, like the undiscovered country, or Atlantis on its decent into the sea. Wonderful perspective and colors.
That is such a gorgeous picture! Looks great for vacation! I am getting a bit jealous
wow...finally...im basing my underwater catalog design from this one...do you have any other prints from this section something underwater please...nice pics...it speaks of talent!!!!
So Amazing.. This would be so good if it was printed perfectly on good paper..
