A collection of thumbnails from my first year posts (click on the image for a version with live thumbnails)

One year ago I started this blog as a way of learning some new computer administration skill (the site is served from a computer at my home), and keeping in touch with family and friends living in two other continents. One year, 158 entries, 865 comments later, it has of course become much more than that. As a creativity outlet it has continuously forced me to really see, and take notice of the beauty and ugliness of the world around me. They are both present, an inevitable part of our life. Carrying a camera with me and a public “wall” to hang my pictures on made me see better, and notice what I would have otherwise missed. And, of course, this blog gave me the opportunity to meet all of you. I enjoy reading your comments as much as I enjoy posting my images and writing my stories. Thanks for sharing a few minutes of your life, in this last year, here with me.

Update: for some reasons I don’t fully understand the thumbnail table was ruining the format of my blog template (ah, joy of CSS), so I had to substitute it with a single image. Click on it, or here for the old version with clickable thumbnails.

And so many great photos! I’m really glad you created this entry the way you did so I have a chance to see all these beautiful photos I haven’t seen before and revisit the ones I’ve seen.
