Very interesting. I love when friends keep in contact like yours does.
So, do birds actually nest in these nests?
me gusta mucho este tipo de fotos, muy grafica, pero creo que un poco mas de ‘definicion’ ayudaria...
These look like huge structures towering above the tree lines, and yet they are for small birds to nest. Are those small bushes in front and not trees? Very beautiful either way and I love the idea. Altho’ if I were a bird I think I would still head for green trees
Functional art work! I love it. So much more attractive than so many modern things that are only built for funtion.
Very cool photo, the clouds give good balance, and this is kind of an unusual photo from you...Can`t really explain it, but I like it. A lot!
Interestingly bizarre structure. I’m glad you have this link to home!
The nests are actually in use by the little birds that normally nests below the roofs of old italian houses (which are made by the same baked clay material). The structures are quite tall. The trees are actually small trees, not bushes. I would say they are two or three times as tall as a person.
Given your background in astrophysics my mind immeaditely conjured space exploration - thought these were some sort of antenna. Its a lovely piece of artwork - I wonder if its difficult to find a nest in that district? Perhaps there is a long waiting list.
