Clever technique! I’ll have to try that.
Are you sure the flash didn’t illuminate those canyons? ":^)
This photo looks really great on my screen. Beautiful light. I like it when you tell a little about how and why you do what you do. Tell me, did you clone the whole photo, or just the upper part? I have no experience in cloning or layers, but I realize it will be usefull to learn...
Well done, Massimo!
Quite exceptional when you consider it was a point and shoot camera. The mountains look mysterious - I would like to see them during the day.
Great picture - Moonrise came about an hour earlier than dusk in Taiwan last night - I envisioned a similar picture but couldn’t pull it off. Well done!
at first glance, i saw a glorious simplicity, and breathtaking colours...later, having absorbed the detail in the mountains, the gradiation of the sky, and having read your explanation, i’m even more enchanted.
and 8.4 meters? the mind boggles!
Alfred, I only cloned the moon disk, the rest is all from the long exposure photo, but I had to correct some chromatic bleeding around the overexposed moon.
Very awesome. At first glance didn’t understand why the moon was so sharp and everything was so light. But now i know. Great technique.
I like the “pieced-together” effect. It makes a beautiful image.
Massimo, This is a very interesting image. Once again the layers are very effective, giving the photo an illusion of three dimensionality that is not easy to achieve. Nice work.
another fantastic photo! i like how you view the world around you... and for sharing it with us (your techniques, too).
That is one stunning photo, and would make an amazing poster! Excellent work.
