Massimo,
While there are things I like about this photo, the grass framing the subject, and the cloud against the background of the blue mountain, and even the sidelight on the subject, for some reason it just doesn’t engage me. I have lots of similar shots in my files. I think getting shots of travelling companions involves the same kinds of things that getting good shots of local people involves: action, interaction, emotion, or some interesting point-of-view or lighting situation.. Your silhouette of Jennifer (two posts back) is a good example.
Massimo, I am with you on shots from the back. In fact, before I read your comment, my first reaction was, it takes a special situation for a shot from behind to work. I think this works. The trail is leading into the frame and the mountains and the clouds, and I think that is what the shot is about, not Mayli. I feel that she is an element of motion and destination in this composition, so I think it works quite well.
muy buena foto,me encanta el toque de trigo, da como libertad y a la vez veo a la chica tan atada no se porque? o sea me da como libertad y miedo a la vez. Eso me deja tu foto de hoy........
I like it...she looks like she’s setting out on a journey with a purpose...or maybe there’s no purpose and she’s just setting out on a journey. It certainly looks like there is ground there for an interesting adventure. I like the grass bidding her on in her journey. There’s no interaction with her and the surroundings, but the surroundings seem to be interacting with her.
The framing is perfect in this photo, and I like it. There’s a strange contrast introduced by her modern clothes against what appears to be a very airy and timeless backdrop. I wonder if this is the reason why its not one of your favorites?
I like the purposeful stride of her step, the way the light reflects off of her clothing, the gorgeous framing of grass. It is an interesting photo that seems to tell a story or many stories depending on how you look at it.
